S&B 47 Gallon Long Range Fuel Tank | Mercedes Sprinter 144" & 170" 2007-2018

The largest S&B tank for NCV3 Sprinters, a plug-and-play 47 gallon replacement for the factory 24 gallon fuel tank. It mounts in the stock location with one added rear strap, extends about 2.4" forward and 32.5" rearward of the original tank, and reuses your OE sending unit.

Fitment

• Mercedes Sprinter 144" and 170": 2007–2018 (3.0L diesel), 2014–2017 (2.1L diesel)
• Coachmen Prism: 2009–2019
• Forest River Solera: 2010–2018

Will NOT fit

• 170" crew vans or 144" dually vans. Use the S&B 40 gallon tank 10-1026 instead.
• 144" vans with ride height sensors connected to the rear axle (see note C in S&B's install instructions)

Fuel gauge & range

• The fuel gauge reads accurately only on vans with the J51 fuel gauge option. Ask your Mercedes dealer to confirm.
• The gauge stays on full for the first 5–7 gallons, then moves normally.
• Distance-to-empty still calculates from the stock 24 gallon capacity (at 20 mpg, about 940 miles of real range vs. about 480 shown).
• The auxiliary fuel tap stops drawing at about 1/3–1/2 tank (vs. 1/4 tank on stock).
• Using an auxiliary transfer/gravity-feed fuel tank with an S&B tank voids the lifetime warranty.
